The 1965 Corvette roadster being offered for sale here is a tastefully customized mid-year Corvette. The vehicle was acquired by the current owner in October of 2004, as an original,
“no-hit body”, 1965 Corvette, with a solid frame, minus its original engine and drivetrain. The car had been stored since December of 1990, when it was retired, with an odometer reading of 59,562 miles. This was the perfect Corvette to be used to create the elegantly modified roadster envisioned by the current owner.
In January 2005, the car was transported to The Restoration Connection in Mays Landing, New Jersey to undergo a 10 month long complete “body-off the frame” “nut and bolt” restoration by Rob English, a noted and highly respected Corvette restorer. The complete restoration of this classic Corvette, from start to finish, is documented, with photographs, progress notes and receipts, in a comprehensive album. This was an inspired restoration, where no expense was spared to achieve the desired results, of creating a very special mid-year roadster.
This Corvette features a 1965 body and chassis, a 2006 350ci/330hp GM HO Deluxe Engine, a M22 Muncie 4 Speed “rockcrusher” transmission, power steering and power brakes, a 3:55 posi rear, 1967 bolt on wheels, a 1967 Stinger hood, 2 1/2” stainless steel chambered off road exhaust, Saddle Tan/Bronze Metallic base coat/clear coat exterior finish, saddle leather interior and a removable vinyl-covered hardtop.
